At the local level, First Baptist is a member of the Rehoboth Association which has varied ministries.  The Christian Social Ministry and the Appalachian Ministry are just two of these ministries.  Others ministries include mission trips to the southeast European country of Moldova, the Disaster Relief Ministry which works with the American Red Cross to provide a variety of services after natural disasters, chapel services at a local truck stop, and a migrant farmer ministry which provides medical care and English lessons in addition to presenting the gospel of Jesus Christ

Ministries

Sunday School

As well as classes for children and youth, we have two adult Sunday School classes where we are sure you will find one that feels comfortable to you.

Nursing Home Ministry

First Baptist Church Marshallville leads a Sunday School class at the Oaks Nursing Home every Sunday.  Each February  the church sponsors a birthday party with finger foods and drinks to celebrate the birthdays of those residents having a birthday during the month.  Members also provide a gift for each resident at Christmas.

Missions

First Baptist Church Marshallville supports the Southern Baptist Convention by giving to local, state, national and worldwide missions.  In addition to these mission programs, members donate canned goods and other food pantry needs for the Christian Social Ministry, and clothing for the Appalachian Ministry.  Also, members pack shoe boxes for Samaritan's Purse, the Shoe Box Ministry of Franklin Graham.  Last year 62 shoe boxes were filled.

Joint Services with Marshallville United Methodist Church
First Baptist Church Marshallville and the Marshallville United Methodist Church alternate hosting Vacation Bible School each year.  The choirs combine to present a musical program each Easter and Christmas.  The churches also combine efforts for community projects.
